Dear colleague,

Will hedge funds follow the path of passive investing, just as the traditional fund management industry did a generation ago?

That is the question on everyone's lips as new hedge fund replication and synthetic hedge fund products continue to be rolled out. In fact, one expert estimates that replication strategies may account for 40% of managed hedge fund assets next 5 years.

Investors and their consultants are closely monitoring the latest developments and track records of these products.

In fact, at our inaugural event in London this past February, 26% of the audience were pension funds, endowments, private Banks, insurers, and charities including the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Allstate Investments LLC, San Diego County Employees Retirement Association, Caisse De Depot Et Placement Du Quebec, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, BBC Pensions, PGGM Pension Fund, The World Bank Pension Fund, and Universities Superannuation Scheme.
